Who should apply?
Any owner of a place in which a lift has been installed before the date of commencement of the Act shall make an application for license for operating a lift installed before the commencement of the act.
Documents Required:
• Up to date Annual Maintenance Contract
• Inspection manual in the prescribed format
• NOC for construction of the building
• Declaration from the person authorized under section 13 for erection of lifts/escalators (Undertaking to Carry Out and Complete Erection / Alteration) (iii)
• Declaration from the person authorized under section 13 (Certificate of Completion of Erection / Alteration) (v)
• Application for license of operating a lift before commencement of the Act.(VIII)
• Details of Lift(s) under maintenance (XI)
Timeline:
15 (Fifteen) working days from the date of submission of application, completed in all respects along with documents as per checklist.
